Due to my sister's blog's badassness, I'm feeling a bit motivated to do some posts. I need to update this more but it's hard enough updating a facebook profile let alone a blog. Nonetheless, I'm giving it another go.
Speaking of motivation, it looked as if last night the Lakers had all the motivation in the world and Ray Allen had no motivation to make a shot. I have never seen an athlete go off as bad as he did in game 2 only to follow that up with a HORRIFIC night from 3 only two days later. I mean this is Jesus Shuttlesworth, one of the purest shooters in the game and all through the 4th quarter EVERYONE was thinking well the next one has to hit. Well folks it didn't and I'm happy as hell about it.
From that, I want to take the time to address a very disturbing trend I have been noticing in my life. Look if you want to be a fan of someone (all the LeBron lovers, this one is for you) that is perfectly fine. However, when your guy gets knocked out of the playoffs it is not acceptable to jump on the bandwagon of another TEAM just to root against a player like Kobe. Be a Kobe hater all you want (#hatersgonnahate), but that doesn't mean you love the Celtics... You weren't rooting for them in the roughly 95 games before this series so why in the hell are you rooting for them now? GTFOH
In other news, the "leaders" of our economy are some of the most sensitive people EVER.
Also, Save a spot in Cooperstown...

I'm Back
Whew it's been a long time since i've posted on here. I have good reason though. I started a new job before my last post and that has taken over my life since. I'm an Assistant Director of Development for Central Campus Priorities at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. It's been a fun ride so far and I can't wait to see what happens next. I handle fundraising on the west coast so I am really racking up the frequent flier miles. So far, I have been to Los Angeles (twice), Seattle/Tacoma, Phoenix, San Francisco, and I'm headed to San Diego next week.
One thing I love about my job is the interaction I get to have with some of UT's best and brightest alums. They are all out in the world doing well for themselves and I get to talk to them about how UT helped them make it to where they are. It's truly eye opening.
On the personal front, I have tried to get through some issues I have with trust to no avail. I have had a girlfriend and broke up with her within a month. I need to figure out my head before i let too many good catches pass me by.
Alright, I think that's enough.... until next time---
